Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of 11 canvassers and Volunteers

• Lead door-to-door canvassing shifts (Saturdays and Sundays)

• Coordinate Text Banking/Phone Banking initiatives for canvassers and volunteers

• Recruit and motivate volunteers/canvassers

• Ensure canvassers are entering data accurately and on time

• Submit Canvassing Data and daily reports on time

Requirements:

• At least 1 prior cycle of field management or paid canvasser management

• Ability to work on weekends (Sat & Sun)

• A valid driver's license and a reliable mother vehicle

• Must have access to a cell phone and a laptop or computer with reliable internet access

• Experience working with MiniVan (Experience with Impactive is preferred, too)

• Strong Oral and written communication and time management skills

• Attention to detail

• Deeply passionate about civic engagement and activating residents to get involved in their community

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Bilingual (English and Spanish)

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Enthusiasm for building meaningful relationships in the communities we're canvassing

• Goals-oriented and self-disciplined; able to meet tight deadlines and multitask

• Experience leading a team to hit goals consistently

• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, changing work environment

• Ability to manage volunteer engagement

Compensation:

$45 per hour ($1,350/wk)​

• Work with a team of AHCAG canvassers to meet goals and GOTV for The Acres Homes and Northwest Houston community

• Complete door-to-door canvassing shifts on weekends, which includes some evenings (Saturdays & Sunday)

• Complete accurate and timely data entry

• Provide reliable and trustworthy information to individuals while canvassing

• Submit data and shift reports on time

• Work some AHCAG community events

Requirements:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to work weekends (Saturdays & Sundays)

• A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation

• Must have access to a cellphone, or tablet with internet access

• Ability to learn how to use MiniVan and Impactive

• Attention to detail
