The Acres Homes Community Advocacy Group aims to preserve and empower the community by educating residents, organizing for key health and civic policy changes, and addressing the immediate needs of our community in Environmental Health and overall wellness.

Disaster Recovery Community Fund

Please help us serve our Northwest Communities!

In light of the devastating May 16th Derecho and July 8th Hurricane Beryl, we need your help to support Northwest Houston! The Acres Homes Community Advocacy Group, League of Women Voters of Houston, and Woori Juntos are distributing $1,000 disaster relief funds to 75 households. Help us raise $75,000 to bring relief to families in need.

The Harris County Precinct One Community Affairs & Advocacy division is dedicated to advancing the mission of Precinct One by improving constituents' access to the office, building and empowering community leaders, and positively contributing to the overall social justice movement in the region by utilizing grassroots organizing strategies, providing public education, public policy monitoring, and developing and executing issue-based campaigns related to Precinct One's public policy priorities. Advocacy Day is in full effect!

Our office has partnered with Senator Molly Cook and Commissioner Rodney Ellis to take 45 students to Austin for a full day of Advocacy! These students have been working hard to learn the ins and outs of the Texas Legislature, and now we're putting their knowledge to work for their communities! More pics to come!
